Masao Kōge is a validated Japanese supercentenarian known as the oldest living person in Kagoshima Prefecture.

Masao Kōge was born on 30 April 1913 in Korean Peninsula during the Japanese colonial period.

At some point in her life, she got married in Korea. After World War II, the couple moved to Tsuruta-Machi (now Satsuma), her husband’s hometown. There, she raised five children, despite the challenges of adapting to the Kagoshima dialect.

At 111 years old, she remains able to feed herself. She is known for her patient and quiet personality.

She currently resides in Satsuma, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan, at 111 years old.
