Florence, AlabamaLillie Cunningham, one of the oldest living residents of the U.S. state of Alabama, celebrated her 110th birthday on September 26th. Her birthday was first reported by WSFA and WAFF.

Lillie Cunningham was born in Alabama, USA, on 26 September 1914. She is a lifetime member of Rock Primitive Baptist Church, where she continued to attend services at the age of 108. She and her late husband, Charlie Cunningham, enjoyed going to church together.

In recognition of her years of service to the Florence community and her dedication to her faith, Mayor Andrew Betterton declared September 26 as “Lillie Cunningham Day,” with the proclamation presented by Council President Kaytrina Simmons. She received over 200 cards from people across the country, including one from President Joe Biden.

It was reported that, even at 110 years old, she continues to enjoy her favorite activities, such as cooking, solving puzzles, and reading the Bible, all on her own.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Lillie Cunningham on her 110th birthday.
