Přerov, Olomouc Region — The oldest (known) living person in Czech Republic, Filomena Kolomazníková, passed away on July 8th, at the age of 107 years, 339 days. Her passing was reported by the Funeral service of Přerov.
Kolomazníková was born in the village of Rokytnice in Přerov District, on 4 August 1916. She spent her childhood and youth in her native village. After getting married, she and her husband moved to Vinar, where they raised four children together. She commuted from Vinar to Meopta in Přerov for work. Throughout her life, she loved reading, but her greatest passion was hiking.
Following the passing of 109-year-old Bedřiška Adamičková on 1 September 2023, she became the oldest (known) living resident of Czech Republic.
