Haruko Morishita was a validated Japanese supercentenarian born on 18 February 1909 in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture.

At the age of 32, she married Kenzo in Takahashi Town, Okayama Prefecture. The two of them had one daughter together.

In September 2017 and September 2018, she received courtesy visits from the mayor of Takahashi City as the oldest resident of the city.

Regarding the secret to her longevity, her nephew’s daughter and family representative mentioned that Morishita’s love of meat may have been a factor.

Haruko Morishita died on 15 June 2019 in Takahashi City due to natural causes.
