It is with a heavy heart for LongeviQuest to report that the oldest (known) man from France, Mr. Georges Thomas, passed away at 112 years old.

Georges Thomas was born on 19 November 1911 in Payré, Vienne, France.

Mr. Thomas’ age was only discovered after his death, and he has the potential to be the world’s oldest man.

He is the oldest known man ever in France. Georges Thomas surpassed the age of Martiniquais supercentenarian Jules Theobald by just 24 days.

He passed away on 1 June 2024 in Rochefort, Charente-Maritime, France, at 112 years and 195 days old.
