Ida Reaver was a validated American supercentenarian who died in 1989 at the age of 110.

Ida Reaver was born in a one-room cabin near Silver Run, Carroll County, Maryland, USA, on 7 December 1878. Reaver’s early life was spent attending the Erb School and working on a farm. She married young and moved to various farms in Pennsylvania before settling in Chambersburg, where her husband worked at a machine shop.

Even at 100, Reaver remained independent, doing all her housework in her Westminster apartment. She favored hot water over tea or coffee and enjoyed home-grown food. She actively maintained her independence until 106, when she moved to a nursing home.
