Henriqueta Soares Marques of São Paulo, Brazil Dies at 112

LongeviQuest is saddened to report the passing of Henriqueta Soares Marques. She was born in the State of São Paulo, Brazil, on 6 May 1911 and passed away on 12 January 2024 at the age of 112 years, 251 days in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. She was a Brazilian supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS).

At 109, Marques beat the odds. After testing positive for COVID-19 in March 2021, she made a full recovery by month’s end, becoming one of the world’s oldest known survivors of the virus.
