Deolinda Nazaré D’Almeida, Portugal’s Second-Oldest Known Living Person, Dies at 110

LongeviQuest is saddened to report the passing of Deolinda Nazaré D’Almeida. She was born in Lisbon, Lisbon District, Portugal on 20 February 1913 and passed away in Espinho, Aveiro District, Portugal on 12 October 2023 at 110 years, 234 days. At the time of her death, D’Almeida was the oldest living resident of Aveiro District and the second-oldest in the country, behind Maria da Conceição Brito.

D’Almeida was a wife and a mother to 2 children. She worked as a seamstress until the 1970s and usually taught sewing classes. In 2005, she moved into a nursing home.
