Susie Ford was born Susie Mae Williamson in Watkins (likely present-day Ewing, Boone County), Arkansas, United States, on 24 December 1907. Her parents were Willis Williamson and Virginia Bryant. She had 3 brothers. She never completed her education. She started sewing at the age of 14, as she watched her mother sew for others. She continued to sew until October 2017.

At some point, she married Henry White Sr. and had five children with him. They eventually divorced, and she remarried to Private First Class, Jack Ford. The couple had one son, Jack Jr.

In 1942, she moved to Kansas City, Missouri. She was an Evangelist, and a long-time member of Barker Temple Church of God in Christ in Kansas City. Her second husband died in 1981.

Ford died at the Redwood of Kansas City South nursing home in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, on 31 August 2020 at the age of 112 years, 251 days. She was survived by two daughters (Evelyn Hubert and Annette White), one son (Jack Ford Jr.), one adopted daughter (Minister Dana Boykin), as well as 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 74 great-great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-great-grandchildren.
