Mildred Ofa Lewis (née McCrory) was an American supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest.

Biography

Lewis was born in Zebra, Missouri, USA, on 25 December 1907, as the fourth of five children born to parents John Stephen McCrory and Maude Ezard. She attended William Woods College, where she was a member of the student council, and then graduated from Lincoln University in Jefferson City. Her maternal grandfather lived to be 100.

On 23 August 1930, she married Earl Lewis. The couple had two children, Rozanne McCandless and Thomas. She worked as an elementary school teacher for 25 years in Jefferson City. She was the President of the Capital City Women’s Club and the Jefferson City Women’s Club.

Her husband passed away in 1993. Around 2007, after turning 100, she moved to Estero to live with her daughter.

Lewis passed away in Estero, Florida, USA, on 9 December 2018. She was survived by her son, two grandsons, and one great-grandson.
