Margaret Terrell Hoyle (née McCaslin) was an American supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest.

BIOGRAPHY

Margaret Hoyle was born in Maiden, North Carolina, USA on 29 January 1914, to parents Charley Terrell McCaslin and Edith Terrell Hoover. She had two brothers (George Buck Womack and Kenneth Womack) and three sisters (Mary Black, Thelma Kistler and Harrie Lee McCarter). She graduated from Lincolnton High School.

At some point, she married Robert David Hoyle, with whom she had five children (all of whom she outlived): Robert, JoAnne Grant, Mickey, Ailshie and Charles. She retired from Chester Sportswear as a seamstress.

Hoyle lived independently until she fell and broke her hip in 2020. Following the incident, she relocated to a nursing home in Chester, South Carolina. A few months later, she contracted COVID-19 but successfully recovered about two weeks before celebrating her 107th birthday in January 2021. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Chester.

Hoyle passed away in Chester, South Carolina, USA, on 11 May 2024, at the age of 110 years, 103 days. She was survived by eight grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 21 great-great grandchildren.
