Lillie Mae Leggett was an American supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest. At the time of death, she was among the oldest living residents of the U.S. state of Mississippi.

BIOGRAPHY

Lillie Mae Leggett was born in Toomsuba, Mississippi, USA on 14 February 1910.

At the age of 19, in 1929, she started attending the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Sumrall, and continued being a member even as a centenarian. She married Houston Leggett, and the couple had 14 children. In 1958, she moved to Palmer’s Crossing. Her husband died in 1978.

Leggett died in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA on 16 August 2020 at the age of 110 years, 184 days.
