Kise Kawamura (Japanese: 川村キセ) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest.

Biography

Kawamura was born in Sano, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, on 20 December 1912.

At some point, she moved into a nursing home for the elderly. While there, she spent a lot of time watching TV during the day. According to her family, she had a gentle personality and was dearly loved by those around her.

Kawamura passed away in Sano, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, on 20 February 2023, at the age of 110 years, 62 days.

In September 2022, she was reported as the oldest living person in Tochigi Prefecture.

Her age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Yumi Yamamoto, Ryohei Asano and Bogdan Solyanikov, and validated by LongeviQuest on 2 February 2024.
