Josefina Snyder-Jara was a Mexican-born American supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS). At the time of death, she was one of the oldest living residents of the U.S. state of Arizona.

Biography

Josefina Snyder-Jara was born as Josefina Snyder López in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, on 11 April 1909. Her parents were Enrique Snyder Laseter and Maria Josefina Lopez Zavala. She had at least four siblings: Yolanda, Hector, Alicia, and Maria de la Luz Sara.

On 31 January 1932, she married Hector Jara Rodriguez in Mexico City. She moved to the United States in 1940. She got widowed in 1982.

Snyder-Jara passed away in Ahwatukee, Phoenix, Arizona, USA on 4 December 2019 at the age of 110 years, 237 days.
