Joaquina Martins was born in Campelos, Lisbon District, Portugal on 13 January 1907.
Joaquina Martins passed away in Alcabideche, Lisbon District, Portugal on 14 October 2018 at the age of 111 years, 274 days. Her funeral was at the church of Santa Maria in Agualva-Cacém, Sintra, Lisbon District.
RECOGNITION
On 9 October 2017, following the death of 112-year-old Maria da Conceição, she became the oldest living person in Portugal.
Her age was verified by Gabriel Lemos, and validated by the ESO on 29 April 2023.
