Deolinda Nazaré d'Almeida is a Portuguese supercentenarian who is the oldest known resident of Aveiro District and the third-oldest in the country. Her age has been validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO).

Biography

Deolinda Nazaré d’Almeida was born in the parish of Santa Isabel, Lisbon, Lisbon District, Portugal on 20 February 1913.

At some point, she married Manuel Morais, and the couple settled in the capital. Her husband worked as a milliner. The couple had two children, a son, and a daughter. She worked as a seamstress until the 1970s and usually taught sewing classes. Her husband passed away in 1973.

In 2005, she moved into a nursing home.

Deolinda Nazaré d’Almeida currently lives in Espinho, Aveiro District, Portugal.

Mrs. Nazaré d’Almeida was first noted for her longevity when she was 101, in a magazine titled “Defesa de Espinho”. The Facebook page of her care home reported on her 108th, 109th, and 110th birthdays.
