BIOGRAPHY

King was born Everzora Williams in Rapides Station, in Boyce, Louisiana, on 9 January 1892. She was married and had at least one daughter, Mary Reed, who was 84 at the time of her mother’s 111th birthday.

King celebrated her 110th and 111th birthdays with her daughter. Her relatives frequently visited her, and she thoroughly enjoyed gospel music and touch therapy.

King died at 5:37 a.m. on 28 August 2003 at the age of 111 years, 231 days. She was survived by her daughter, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
