Yvonne Arend (née Francier) was a Belgian-born French supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LGCF and ESO, and later recognized by LongeviQuest.

BIOGRAPHY

Yvonne Arend-Francier was born in Anderlecht, Brussels-Capital Region, Belgium, on 28 February 1913. In 1943, she married André Henri Arend (1905–1969). She left Belgium for Ajaccio, the capital of Corsica, after the death of her husband in 1969.

Yvonne Arend-Francier passed away in Ajaccio, Corsica, France, on 2 September 2025, at the age of 112 years, 186 days.

RECOGNITION

Yvonne Arend-Francier passed away at the same age as Joanna Deroover-Turcksin (1890–2002), the oldest person ever born in Belgium. They now share this title.

Her age was verified by Anthony Croes-Lacroix of Les Grands Centenaires Français, and validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation on 18 January 2026, and later recognized by LongeviQuest on 8 February 2026.
