Yvette Raymonde Mangin (née Leblanc) was a French supercentenarian.
Yvette Mangin was born in the district of Mohon in Charleville-Mézières, capital of the Ardennes department, Grand Est, France, on 13 January 1906. Her parents were Jules Henri Leblanc (born 1880) and Jeanne Elisabeth Squevin (born 1882). She had at least three siblings: Roger Henri (1907-1995), Simonne Pierrette (1910–2000), and Jean Louis (1917–2000).
On 9 April 1934, she married Georges Charles Henri Mangin (born 1901) in Neuves-Maisons. After the death of her husband—an engineer in Nancy—around 1990, she moved first to Cannes and later to Béziers.
At the age of 110, she had five great-grandchildren. According to the director of the retirement home where she lived, the secret to her longevity lay in her continued independence and the close, harmonious relationship she maintained with both the nursing staff and her family. This connection was vital to her sense of balance. She was clear about what she wanted, yet always remained easy-going and pleasant.
Yvette Mangin passed away in the commune of Cers in the Hérault department in southern France, on 28 November 2016, at the age of 110 years, 320 days.
Mangin’s age has been validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO).
