BIOGRAPHY

Yuriko Nishimura was born in Japan on 24 August 1903.

Yuriko Nishimura passed away in Ashiya, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan, on 5 May 2015, at the age of 111 years, 254 days.

RECOGNITION

On 14 February 2015, following the passing of 112-year-old Sugino Tamai, she became the oldest living person in Hyōgo Prefecture.

Upon her passing, she was succeeded as the Prefecture’s oldest living person by Aino Matsuoka.

Her age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Marco Wikkerink, Stefan Maglov, and Yumi Yamamoto, and validated by LongeviQuest on 15 February 2024.
