BIOGRAPHY

Yukiko Nakao was born on 26 December 1914 in Kawatana-cho, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.

After residing in Tokyo, she relocated to Nogata City, Fukuoka Prefecture, with her mother following the war. She lived independently in a housing complex within the city for an extended period, but has been residing in a cooperative housing facility since 2012.

Her daily routine consists of washing her face and dressing independently, followed by sitting in her designated seat in the lounge. In the morning, she typically has breakfast at approximately 7:00 a.m. She also engages in the task of bundling newspapers with string and stamping the residents’ communication notebooks. After dinner, she spends time tidying her room until around 9:00 p.m. Her favorite food is somen noodles, which she prefers because they are quick to consume and do not cause any discomfort to her stomach.
