Doyenne of Argentina, Isabel Barletta, turns 113
Yasu Nishiyama was born in Tadotsu, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan on 20 August 1894.
She enjoyed watching baseball. She was said to be in good health around the time of her 112th birthday in August 2006 before her health deteriorated.
Yasu Nishiyama passed away in Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture on 31 October 2006 at the age of 112 years, 72 day. At the time of her death, she was the oldest person in Kagawa Prefecture and the fourth oldest person in Japan.
Yasu Nishiyama became the oldest living person in Kagawa Prefecture with the death of Haru Mori on 16 April 2006.
