BIOGRAPHY

Rozelle was born Wiktorija Moczarski in Wizna, Podlaskie Voivodeship, Poland (then Russian Empire), on 17 May 1913. She was the first of 11 children born to Joseph Moczarski and Stella Chmielewski. During her youth, the family relocated to the United States. She spent most of her life in Hudson (Michigan) and Jackson, as well as two decades in Arizona.

Rozelle attended St. Stanislaus Catholic School in Jackson. On 3 January 1935, she married Lewis C. Rozelle in Hudson. He passed away on 26 July 1988. Together, they had three children: Rex, Lewis, and Charlene. She worked at Meyers Department Store in Hudson.

Rozelle passed away at Lenawee Medical Care Facility in Adrian, Michigan, USA, on 23 July 2024, at the age of 111 years, 67 days. She was survived by her two sons, eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-great-grandchildren.
