Pesce was born in Castelfranco Veneto, Veneto, Italy, on 23 February 1895. She worked as a teacher for many years. For the last two decades of her life, she lived in a nursing home.
On her 110th birthday, Pesce was visited by the mayor of her town, Maria Gomierato, whose mother was taught by Pesce. At 4 p. m., after mass, the attendees of the celebration gathered to blow out the candles and eat a slice of cake.
Pesce died on 3 April 2005 in her hometown at the age of 110 years, 39 days.
Following the death of Maria Muraro on 2 January 2005, Pesce became Veneto’s oldest known resident. Upon her own death, the title passed to Maria Negri (1895 – 2007).
Pesce’s age was verified by Giovanni Alunni and validated by the GRG on 15 July 2005.
