BIOGRAPHY

Tsune Morinaka was born in Japan on 15 September 1910. At some point, she had children.

In 2010, the city mayor visited her at her home in Hirado, Nagasaki Prefecture, presenting her with a bouquet of flowers and congratulatory gifts to mark her 100th birthday. Morinaka was known for her love of singing and dancing, often enjoying giving performances at family and community gatherings. Possessing a bright and bubbly personality, she enjoyed engaging in conversations and was cherished by those in her community. According to Morinaka, the key to a long and fulfilling life is freely indulging in activities that bring joy.

Morinaka passed away in Hirado, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, on 15 September 2020, her 110th birthday.

RECOGNITION

At the time of death, she was the second-oldest living person in Nagasaki Prefecture, behind Masue Ōura.
