Tomoe Iwata was born in Hanamaki, Iwate Prefecture, Japan on 25 March 1904.

Iwata passed away in Hanamaki, Iwate Prefecture, Japan, at 9:06 AM on 13 April 2018, at the age of 114 years, 19 days.

RECOGNITION

She became the oldest living person in Iwate Prefecture upon the death of Tae Ito on 13 November 2017.

She is currently the second-oldest validated person ever from Iwate Prefecture, behind Tae Ito.
