BIOGRAPHY
Tome Tamura was born in Japan on 30 January 1900.
At 111, when asked about the secret to her long and healthy life, she credited three things: “exercising,” “talking,” and “eating.”
Tome Tamura was a resident of Seya Ward in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. She possibly passed away around 1 October 2011, at the age of 111 years, c. 244 days.
RECOGNITION
Her age was verified by the MHLW, Japan, and validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) on 6 January 2011. The validation was later recognized by LongeviQuest.
