BIOGRAPHY

Thérèse Suzanne Daban was born in the commune of Chouzy-sur-Cisse in the Loir-et-Cher department, Centre-Val de Loire, on 9 January 1911. She moved to Escource after marrying a local man.

In 2011, the community of Escource celebrated her 100th birthday with a special mass at Saint-Martin Church. The event was marked by a ceremony led by the local priest and enriched by performances from local singers. At the time, her sister-in-law was also nearing her 100th birthday. At the age of 108, she resided in a nursing home in Mimizan.

Daban passed away in Mimizan, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, on 4 June 2022, at the age of 111 years, 146 days.

RECOGNITION

Daban’s age was verified by Cyril Depoudent (from the Les Grands Centenaires Français) and validated by the ESO on 14 March 2021.
