Thelma Maud McLeod (née Herbert) was an Australian supercentenarian.

BIOGRAPHY

Thelma McLeod was born in Coolgardie, Western Australia, Australia, on 13 February 1907, to Charles Rogers Herbert (1876–1968) and Florence Annie Beecroft (1874–1949). She later moved to Subiaco, where her father ran a wholesale butcher business. In the 1920s, Thelma met her husband, Colin, on a blind date, and they married in 1934 in Claremont, Western Australia, before his army posting in Port Hedland. They had at least two children: Ross McLeod (1944–2014) and John McLeod.

In 2001, Thelma moved to Wearne Cottesloe, where she received exceptional care for over a decade. Her son, John McLeod, credited her long life to the dedicated support she received at the facility. At the age of 111, she had five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Thelma McLeod passed away in Cottesloe, Western Australia, Australia, on 19 July 2018, at the age of 111 years, 156 days.
