Teru Sugita [Japanese: 杉田てる] was a Japanese supercentenarian.

BIOGRAPHY

Teru Sugita (杉田てる) was born in Japan on October 5, 1902.

Following the death of Yasuko Kimura of Itō City, aged 111, on August 3, 2012, Sugita became the oldest living person in Shizuoka Prefecture.
She passed away from natural causes in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, on November 30, 2013, at the age of 111 years and 56 days.

RECOGNITION

Her age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group on 6 March 2014 and later recognized by LongeviQuest.
