BIOGRAPHY

Teresa Gauchía Simó was born in Benlloc, Valencian Community, Spain, on 15 May 1906. She had four children.

At the age of 110, she had 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. At the time, she was living in a nursing home in Villahermosa del Río.

Teresa Gauchía Simó passed away in Villahermosa del Río, Valencian Community, Spain, on 25 May 2017, ten days after her 111th birthday.

RECOGNITION

At the time of her passing, she was the oldest living person in the Valencian Community. Upon her own passing, she was succeeded by Virtudes Tomás Navarro.
