Tama Taira [Japanese: 平良タマ] was a Japanese supercentenarian.

Tama Taira (平良タマ) was born in Janagusuku, Ōgimi Village, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, on September 25, 1900.
After the age of 80, she contributed as a storyteller of local folk culture in her hometown of Janagusuku.
She passed away from natural causes in a hospital in Nago City, Okinawa Prefecture, on September 22, 2011, at the age of 110 years and 362 days. Her home was in Janagusuku, Ōgimi Village.
Her age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group on 9 April 2013 and later recognized by LongeviQuest.
