Take Ōtawara [Japanese: 大田原タケ] was a Japanese supercentenarian.

BIOGRAPHY

Take Ōtawara (大田原タケ) was born in Japan on December 23, 1896.

In June 2003, at the age of 106, she became the oldest living person in Tochigi Prefecture.

She passed away from natural causes in Nasushiobara, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, on November 4, 2007, at the age of 110 years and 316 days. Following her passing, Moto Oka of Nakagawa took her place as the prefecture’s oldest resident.

RECOGNITION

Her age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group on 17 January 2008 and later recognized by LongeviQuest.
