Susumu Segō (Japanese: 瀬合進) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest. At the time of death, he was the oldest living man in Hyōgo Prefecture.

BIOGRAPHY

Susumu Segō was born in Japan on 2 October 1912.

Susumu Segō passed away in Awaji, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan, on 17 November 2022, at the age of 110 years, 46 days.

RECOGNITION

On 18 April 2020, following the death of 108-year-old Susumu Kawata (Japanese: 河田進) of Awaji, he became the oldest living man in Hyōgo Prefecture.

Following the death of 111-year-old Shigeru Nakamura on 15 November 2022, he became the third-oldest known living man in Japan, behind Gisaburō Sonobe and anonymous man of Shinagawa (Tokyo).

His age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Ryohei Asano, Yu Li, and Yumi Yamamoto, and validated by LongeviQuest on 10 December 2023.
