Simonne Juliette Lantran (née Charamon) was a French supercentenarian. Her age has been validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO).

BIOGRAPHY

Simonne Lantran was born in the commune of Moutiers-en-Beauce in the Eure-et-Loir department in northern France, on 9 February 1905. Her parents were Jules Elie Charamon (1872–1940) and Emilienne Augustine Pichard (1876–1935). She had an older sister, Thérèse Augustine, who died at 4 months old in 1903.

On 6 May 1926, aged 21, she married Lionel Edgard Lantran (1900–1996) in Moutiers. The couple had 9 children: Michel Lionel, Luc, Paule, Roger, Marc, Monique, Jean, Etienne, and Pierre.

Simonne Lantran passed away in the commune of Janville in the Eure-et-Loir department in northern France, on 7 November 2015, at the age of 110 years, 271 days.

RECOGNITION

Lantran’s age was verified by Cyril Depoudent, Daniel Lejay, and Guillaume Legris, and was validated by the ESO on 4 March 2021.
