Celestine “Sally” Szemenciak (née Siemankowski) was an American supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest.

BIOGRAPHY

Sally Szemenciak was born in Sloan, New York, USA on 5 April 1912 to Frank and Rose (née Rusinski) Siemankowski. She was baptized on 7 April 1912 at St. Stanislaus Church, in Sloan, New York.

In April 1933, she married Stewart Bowman. They had at least five children. He died in October 1961.

In December 1962, she remarried to Peter Szemenciak. Her second husband died in 1992.

In 2019, she moved to Beechwood Homes in Getzville. In May 2020, Szemenciak tested positive for COVID-19, but recovered by mid-June. In April 2022, she had five living children, eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Szemenciak passed away on 8 April 2023, three days after her 111th birthday.
