Sakue Kotaka was born in Japan on 15 March 1912.
At some point, she moved into a nursing home for the elderly, renovated from a closed primary school.
Sakue Kotaka passed away in Ōtsuki, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, on 9 May 2022, at the age of 110 years, 55 days.
RECOGNITION
Her age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Ryohei Asano and Yumi Yamamoto, and validated by LongeviQuest on 14 December 2023.
