Sakae Higashihara (Japanese: 東原栄枝) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest.
Sakae Higashihara (東原栄枝) was born in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan, on 9 July 1898, and later lived in Kawanishi City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.
In 2007, at the age of 109, she was among the ten oldest people in the prefecture. In Kawanishi City, she was the second oldest resident at the time, following Kikuyo Terao, who was one month older at 109.
She passed away from heart failure on 11 August 2008 at a hospital in Inagawa Town at the age of 110 years and 33 days. At the time of her death, she was the oldest living person in the Hanshin North region, which includes Takarazuka City, Itami City, Sanda City, and Inagawa Town, and was also among the five oldest people in Hyogo Prefecture.
Her age was verified by MHLW, Japan, Ryohei Asano and Yumi Yamamoto, and validated by LongeviQuest on 1 April 2026.
