BIOGRAPHY
Sabine Contesso was born in the commune of La Turbie in the Alpes-Maritimes department in southeastern France, on 27 February 1904. Her parents were Antoine Giraudi (1859–1938) and Victorine Augustine Gastaud (born 1873). She had two older siblings: Catherine Joséphine (1894–1986) and Lazare Antoine Gaspard Louis (1896–1983).
At some point, she married Isidore Contesso.
Sabine Contesso passed away in Nice, on 14 March 2015, at the age of 111 years, 15 days.
RECOGNITION
Contesso’s age was verified by Antoine Demarais and Laurent Toussaint (Les Grands Centenaires Français), and was validated by the ESO on 8 March 2020.
