Ruth Jane Reeve (née Reeves; formerly Scott) was an American supercentenarian.

BIOGRAPHY

Ruth Reeve was born in Denton, Nebraska, USA, on 21 September 1903, to parents Wilbur Thomas Reeves (1872–1930) and Ida Estelle Sanders (1868–1960). She had a brother and three sisters.

She married Elmer Clay Scott in Grand Island, Nebraska, on 14 August 1921. Together they had two daughters, Phyllis Wolff and Janet Schma. She was widowed in 1935. On 29 July 1937, she married Frank Reeve in Norfolk, Nebraska, and they had one daughter, Ila Badger. The couple settled in South Bend, Indiana, where Frank served as owner and president of Reliance Pharmacy. She was widowed once again in 1971.

A lifelong member of the Methodist Church, she was also active in the Order of the Eastern Star. For 43 years, she belonged to Carmel United Methodist Church, where she participated in the Women’s Society of Christian Service and was a dedicated member of the Mary Martha Circle. She also contributed her time as music chairperson and treasurer of the Vespers group at Summer Trace for several years.

Ruth Reeve passed away in Carmel, Indiana, on 25 November 2013, at the age of 110 years, 65 days.
