Rosita Montecillo-Codilla was a Filipino supercentenarian.
Rosita Montecillo-Codilla was born in Sogod, Cebu, Philippines on 1 June 1910 (claimed 14 June 1909). She was crowned Miss Sogod on 7 September 1927.
At some point she got married and had four children. She moved to Talisay after marriage.
On 14 September 2017, at the age of 107, she received 50,000 Philippine pesos from the Office of the Vice Governor, a cash incentive provided under the Centenarians Act of 2016. Vice Governor Agnes Magpale personally handed her the check. At the time, her youngest daughter, Dina Calipay, who was taking care of her, shared that Rosita ate vegetables every day and, even at 107, was still able to write and sing.
When asked about the secret of her longevity, she said “A plate of boiled vegetable every day.” Her husband died at the age of 96, and her mother apparently died at the age of 116.
Montecillo-Codilla died in Talisay, Cebu, Philippines on 5 January 2021 at the age of 110 years, 219 days (claimed age of 111 years, 205 days).
Her age is currently under review.
