Rosaria Martorana was an Italian supercentenarian.
Rosaria Martorana was born in Ragusa, Sicily, Italy on 27 October 1914. She married and had four children, all of whom she outlived. She remained in regular contact with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, some of whom she connected with via video calls.
To celebrate her 110th birthday, a large party was organized in her honor at the retirement home where she resided, with local dignitaries in attendance, including Bishop Giuseppe La Placa and Mayor Peppe Cassì.
Martorana passed away in Ragusa, Sicily, Italy, on 19 December 2025, at the age of 111 years, 53 days.
Her age was verified by Paolo Scarabaggio, and validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO) on 3 May 2025.
Following the passing of Francesca Fioriglio on 16 July 2025, she became the oldest living person in Sicily. Upon her own passing, she was succeeded by Maria Giovanna Cerami.
