Rosa Lee Gibbs (née Stewart) was an American supercentenarian.
Rosa Gibbs was born in Washington, Mississippi, USA, on 5 October 1902, to parents Dora and Theodore Stewart. She was one of ten siblings, all of whom she outlived.
Later, she moved to Gary, Indiana, where she married Frank Gibbs. The couple subsequently relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1986, she moved to Chicago to live with her daughter. While in Chicago, she was a devoted member of Greater Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church. She worked for many years with the Quartermaster’s Defense Company.
Rosa Gibbs passed away in Chicago, Illinois, on 31 March 2013, at the age of 110 years, 177 days. She was survived by her daughter, Margaret Woodside; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
