BIOGRAPHY

Rosa De Vita was born in Moio della Civitella, Salerno, Campania, Italy, on 8 February 1911. In the mid-1950s, her husband emigrated to Venezuela. Following his death, she was left with their son. She spent her entire life in her native village.

At the age of 112, she had two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Rosa De Vita passed away in Moio della Civitella, Salerno, Campania, Italy, on 11 October 2023, at the age of 112 years.

RECOGNITION

Her age was validated by the ESO on 6 June 2021.

At the time of her death, she was the second-oldest known living person in Campania, behind Lucia Laura Sangenito, and the fourth-oldest known living person in Italy, behind Domenica Ercolani, Claudia Baccarini, and Sangenito.
