BIOGRAPHY

Ramona Echevarria was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, on 17 June 1896. She was raised in the Ponce de León neighborhood. She never married or had children. At the age of 17, she began working as a nanny for a family, and even after she became a centenarian, some of its members continued to visit her.

Ramona Echevarria passed away in Ponce, on 12 January 2007, at the age of 110 years, 209 days.

RECOGNITION

Her age was verified by Jimmy Lindberg, and validated by the Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS) on 24 March 2022.
