Pearl Cornelsen (née Reimer) was an American supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest.

BIOGRAPHY

Pearl Cornelsen was born on 25 December 1900 in Jansen, Nebraska, United States to parents Liebe Probul and Nicholas Eidsen Reimer. Immigrants from Eastern Europe, her parents spoke German. She had ten siblings.

On 11 March 1925, she married Henry (“Hank”) Cornelsen in Visalia, California. The couple later resided in Oklahoma before returning to California, ultimately settling in the Dinuba-Reedley area. They didn’t have any children. Hank died on 29 October 1965 in an automobile accident.

In later life, Cornelsen resided at the Golden Living Center, a nursing facility in Reedley, California. She was placed in hospice care five times, but was discharged on each occasion; it was said that she was told “to go home, it’s not your time”.

Pearl Cornelsen died on 11 February 2013 in Reedly, California, United States, at the age of 112 years, 48 days old.
