BIOGRAPHY

Pablo Díaz Cruz was born in Tierra Blanca, Municipality of Venado, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, on 25 January 1915 (claimed 1914).

At some point, he married María Díaz Espinosa, and the couple had nine children (Francisco, Julia, Francisco, David, María Guadalupe, Teodoro, Marta, Georgina and Pablo).

In 1954, he moved to Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, where he participated in the construction of the Gateway to the Americas International Bridge that connects Laredo, Texas with Nuevo Laredo. He worked in various constructions in the city, and masonry and carpentry. His wife passed away in 1989.

As of January 2023, he had 44 grandchildren, 433 great-grandchildren, and a few great-great-grandchildren.

Pablo Díaz Cruz passed away in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, on 23 November 2023, at the age of 108 years, 302 days.

RECOGNITION

His age was verified by Stefan Maglov, and validated by LQ on 5 May 2023.

At the time of death, he was the oldest known living man in the State of Tamaulipas.
