Osugi Sogo (Japanese: 十河オスギ) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She is currently the oldest validated person ever from Ehime Prefecture.

BIOGRAPHY

Osugi Sogo was born in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan on 14 August 1905. In August 2015, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.

In September 2015, she was reported as the oldest living person in Ehime Prefecture. She lived in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, Japan.

Sogo died in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, Japan on 4 November 2019 at the age of 114 years, 82 days.

RECOGNITION

Sogo’s age was verified by Stefan Maglov, Tzen Wei Tseng, Yumi Yamamoto, Kazuyoshi Sakiyama, Shinji Ishimaru, and MHLW, Japan, and validated by the GRG on 13 September 2017.
