Norma Magini is an Italian supercentenarian.
BIOGRAPHY
Norma Magini was born in Fosdinovo, Tuscany, Italy, on 6 May 1916. She worked as a teacher before marrying Luigi Baronti, an entrepreneur in the tanning industry. After their marriage, she chose to devote herself to her family while also assisting her husband in the business.
She had a great passion for travel, visiting countries such as Turkey, Tunisia, India, Morocco, and Israel. Among her many adventures, she saw Mount Everest and even rode a camel in the desert at the age of 90. Shortly before her 100th birthday, she renewed her driver’s license, and she continued driving until the age of 102. She had originally obtained her license in 1950.
When asked about the secret to her longevity, she replied: “I don’t know. I truly love nature; I have always loved the mountains and walking in the woods. As long as I was able to drive, every morning I went to Chiecinella, parked the car, walked five kilometers, and then returned home.”
