Modesta Francisca Vivas Varela was an Argentine-born French supercentenarian.

Modesta Vivas was born in Godoy Cruz, Mendoza Province, Argentina on 24 May 1914. At some point, she arrived in France alone to flee the Spanish Civil War, during which her parents had returned to Spain, and subsequently became a seamstress.
At the age of 106, she was reported to still have a robust character and demonstrated a clear understanding of her desires and aversions.
Modesta Vivas passed away in the commune of Valbonne in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, on 14 December 2024, at the age of 110 years.
Her age was verified by Guillaume Legris of Les Grands Centenaires Français, and validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation on 31 January 2026, with the assistance of Fabrizio Villatoro (LongeviQuest), and recognized by LongeviQuest on 11 February 2026.
